I was exposed to photography at a young age, growing up with a mother who always had a camera in hand.  But it wasn't until 2011, when I took a photojournalism class at the University of Alabama, that I gained my own passion for the field of photography.  I learned the technical side of using a camera - and was pushed out of my comfort zone via assignments to shoot people and events.  I realized that photography was an art form that I could use to tell stories, capture moments in time forever, and express myself.      

 

I also have a background in journalism, and have had the opportunity to work for publications such as the Tuscaloosa News and Alpine Living, an international travel magazine.  I have been lucky to travel to Spain, Portugal, and England.

 

In 2015, I began working with Bella Baby Photography as an in-hospital newborn baby photographer.
